Continuous panels with shelving on the back wall and floor spacers between the back and bay decks allow merchandise to be placed behind the pharmacy bays. There is no unused space at the panel joint or behind the bays.
With ordinary pharmacy units, the shelf is difficult to adjust because it must span the space between the supports and 4 clips are required to secure it; therefore, it is almost never moved. The entire width, 32” or 48”, must accommodate the tallest bottle so there is a lot of wasted panel space.
A major advantage of the Uniweb Rx 2000 shelf system is that the trays (shelves) are only 16” wide so they are easy to adjust and move. They can be positioned on the panel to accommodate the tallest bottle so there is little or no wasted space.
Also, it is not necessary to remove drugs from the tray when repositioning so the pharmacist can easily do it.
This consolidation of product, that is more product in less space, also results in saving the pharmacist time and motion.
